In my opinion I would not replicate or counterfeit work to on sell. Would I buy one? Well I purchased a Vincent van Gogh from the Museum in The Netherlands already framed. Now I dont think I would, maybe i would really look at the original and admire the work instead, but then I new not alot about art.
In fall and winter 1889–90, while a voluntary patient at the asylum in Saint-Rémy, Van Gogh painted twenty-one copies after Millet, an artist he greatly admired. He considered his copies "translations" akin to a musician's interpretation of a composer's work. He let the black-and-white images—whether prints, reproductions, or, as here, a photograph that his brother, Theo, had sent—pose "as a subject," then he would "improvise color on it." For this work of January 1890, Van Gogh squared-up a photograph of Millet's First Steps and transferred it to the canvas.
I guess as an emerging artist I would love to have a play and paint one of his images but only for practice purposes. As an emerging artist I am very strict about copying other peoples work and on selling as your own. I guess we all look at work and get inspiration from them, but not replicate it.
HISTORY BVA212 WEEK Thirteen 07/10/2019 (SEMESTER TWO) https://art21.org/artist/brian-jungen/ Chris Flavell, is a personal friend who now lives in Dunedin. He is a contemporary artist and he uses a lot of Maori traditional designs in his contemporary art works. His work reminds me of a style of LessLIE.
digital 03/04/2019 bva242 week Eight ALICE IN WONDERLAND INSPIRATIONAL IMAGE https://fishki.net/2760771-5-mrachnyh-interpritacij-alisy-v-strane-chudes.html We carried the props into the bush near Oreti Beach. I set up the scene and took the photo of the frame on its own, but so I can get the same lighting on the frame. So in the frame there is a picture of a clock, mad haters hat, the cat and I a rabbit. outside is the tea cup. I wanted the inside of the framed area no colour as it was to symbolized Alice escaping from there and the queen of hearts helping her, but her true intentions was to use the knife on her once she got her out. I drew the rabbit and took a pic of my cat and adjusted in liquefy layer and adjusted colours to look like the cat from Alice in Wonderland. The frame was only small so I adjusted in the transition tool and warp tool. Then added shadows to the ground to make it seem like the sun had cast lighting over...
