Needs historical context

If you don’t like a painting, don’t include it. You have many choices and it’s an academic piece, rather than an opinion piece, so you need references that back up your ideas.
Global Influence/Appropriation
·         Content and context identified and explained
·         Issues arising are identified

                                                  /30

Needs discussion of global influence of manga and Studio Ghibli’s anime
You could also have discussed Japonisme’ and whether or not it would count as influence or appropriation
For your essay, identify Hiyao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, a manga that relates, and how each shows how Japanese illustration continues today
